We are delighted to announce that our Tradebe colleagues have been nominated for five MRW National Recycling 2021 Awards in the Team of the Year, Recycling Facility of the Year, Recycling Excellence, Innovation and Circular Economy Initiative categories.
Described as the most prestigious awards in the recycling and resource management sector, the MRW National Recycling Awards recognise projects and teams for their achievements within the industry and further along the supply chain. The awards are open to all sectors within the industry in the UK and Republic of Ireland, including manufacturing, recycling, consultancy, public sector and private organisation, and seek to recognise and reward excellence and inspire others for the advancement of the industry.
In the Team of the Year category, we have been shortlisted for our Commercial Transformation Project, placing key personnel in their most effective roles at the right times to put the customer at the heart of everything we do and create a welcoming, collaborative, outward-facing and performance-based culture.
Our Knowsley Transfer Station Excellence Project is nominated in the Recycling Facility of the Year category for the team’s work in providing customers with the very best environmentally conscious solutions available, while our work in the field of Cemfuel production to reduce UK cement & lime kiln fossil fuel reliance has been nominated for the Recycling Excellence Award.
In the Innovation category, our University of York Laboratory Plastic Recycling Project is nominated for its performance in assisting the customer’s ‘Second Chance for Single-use Plastics’ scheme and delivering a more sustainable solution than disposal through incineration or landfill.
Finally, our innovative Water Recovery from Effluent Waste Streams project is shortlisted for the Circular Economy Initiative award. The project, which recovers and treats wastewater for utilisation in our on-site industrial cleaning processes, aligns with our customers’ core environmental values and significantly reduces the environmental impact of some of our key operations.
