Tradebe Lab Services – Sharing Knowledge and Expertise within the Education Sector

Tradebe UK
At Tradebe, we believe in sharing the good things, that’s why, as an expert in smart and sustainable lab services and laboratory waste management, we support our partners and customers in maintaining and expanding their base of knowledge and proficiency.

SciChem, leading providers of scientific and laboratory equipment and chemical supplies to the education sector, invited Tradebe to their Oxford Technicians Meeting last month to share our lab waste knowledge and expertise with their attendees. John Potts, Technical Services specialist from Tradebe discussed and examined topics with the group including lab smalls classification, chemical and hazard identification, labelling and segregation, in addition to common problematic chemicals and mobile chemist services.

This followed Tradebe’s invitation by the University of York to present alongside them at this November’s Institute of Safety in Technology and Research (ISTR) Autumn Symposia on managing laboratory and research waste. Our presentation delivered by Robert Henry, Senior Commercial Manager in the Tradebe Polymers Division, focused on the work that Tradebe has undertaken in partnership with the University of York in relation to recycling laboratory plastic consumables.

At Tradebe we believe that we must work together to meet the modern challenges of sustainability facing the laboratory waste services industry. We are committed to sharing our industry leading knowledge and expertise wherever possible to meet these challenges.

Tradebe provides a complete laboratory waste service, inclusive of specialist mobile chemists for assistance in the safe classification, packaging and collection of waste, through to operating a fleet of collection vehicle, as well as a UK network of transfer stations for the inspection, sorting, segregation of waste, prior to recycling, treatment and/or final disposal.
