Tradebe Chemicals are delighted to announce that we have been awarded the ‘Sustainability 2020 Award’ from the regional 2020 Chemicals Northwest Awards. Unfortunately, due to the current coronavirus pandemic, the live awards ceremony has been cancelled.
The Award was for recognition of a project that helped to support a Tradebe Customer’s shift towards a Circular Economy through an annualised net carbon savings of 30,000 tonnes of CO2 eq. The project required the establishment of a closed-loop recycling process for a prioritised waste stream, full lifecycle carbon footprint reporting of the process, implementation of carbon reduction improvement initiatives and finally delivery of auditable carbon saving figures per tonne recycled chemical used in replacement of “virgin” chemical.
Chemicals Northwest comments: “The judging panel thought the Tradebe entry was recognised for delivering auditable carbon savings of 30,000 tonnes of CO2 equivalent. Tradebe’s approach to carbon management was cost-effective, environmentally friendly and provided their customer with an important brand differentiator within their own business.”
