Tradebe and Scotoil representatives attended the Offshore Europe conference and exhibition on the 8th to the 11th of September. Offshore Europe is a biennial conference and exhibition for the oil and gas industry that takes place in the ‘Oil Capital of Europe’ - Aberdeen, Scotland.

Hailed as the world’ largest upstream oil and gas event outside of North America, it held 1,542 exhibitors including multi-national companies such as Shell, Total and Statoil, and attracted 55,947 delegates from 104 countries. The event gave us an opportunity to further raise Tradebe’s and Scotoil’s profile and brand exposure in the Oil & Gas industry.

Elaine McDonald, Darren Parker and Craig Smith attended on the 8th and 9th, while Bryan Alexander, Chris Macey and Ofer Paz attended on the last two days.

The Oil & Gas sector is a substantial industry for Scotoil Services, providing the following services:

  • Equipment Decontamination to all operators, drilling, and service contractors – such as; oilfield pipework, values and equipment.
  • On & Offshore Radiological Protection Supervision (RPS), including; surveys, process equipment cleanout and platform decommissioning.
  • Radiological Instrumentation - repairing, testing and calibrating radiation contamination monitors.
  • NORM Awareness Training
  • Waste Transfer Services – Our Scotoil facility has recently received approval as a waste transfer station.

Our Fawley facilities are permitted by the Environmental Agency to process large volumes of Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material (NORM) waste that is generated from industry.

The event gave us the opportunity to directly engage with Radiation Protection Advisor’s (RPA), who are the people that require our environmental and waste services that we have to offer.
