Britcare snapped up by Tradebe

Doncaster-based clinical waste company Britcare has been acquired by Tradebe, an environmental business.

 

Britcare, which has a further operation in Birmingham, has a turnover in excess of £3.5m and employs 32 people.

 

Tradebe, which has its UK headquarters in Sandycroft, North Wales, operates internationally, both in Europe and North America, and employs more than 1,000 people. It has a turnover in excess of €200m.

 

Following the acquisition, Tradebe UK said it now has ten strategically located sites across the country.

 

Tradebe UK country manager Mark Olpin said: "We are excited about this new acquisition for Tradebe, both in terms of operating in a new and sustainable waste management sector but also with the synergy benefits available from our existing operations we will be able to offer an unrivalled range of services to the healthcare sector.

 

"We anticipate significant growth for this new division by being able to provide the full spectrum of waste management services to the NHS and other healthcare providers."

 

Tradebe was advised by Manchester law firm Pannone and Philip Treanor, head of corporate finance at the firm, said: "We have advised Tradebe UK for a number of years as they have continued to expand their operations across the UK and internationally.

 

"The latest acquisition is an excellent fit, both in terms of the locations and technologies that this brings to the Tradebe group."

A YORKSHIRE-based firm which disposes of clinical waste has been bought for an undisclosed sum.

Law firm Pannone has advised Tradebe on its acquisition of Doncaster-based Britcare. Britcare, which has 32 staff and a turnover of more than 3.5m, provides collection disposal services for clinical waste through a processing technology and a range of specialist vehicles.


It has operations in Doncaster and Birmingham. Tradebe, which operates internationally in Europe and North America, employs more than 1,000 people and has a turnover of more than 200m euros.


Following the acquisition, Tradebe has 10 UK sites that offer a range of treatments for the disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.


Philip Treanor, head of corporate finance at Manchester-based Pannone, said: "We have advised Tradebe UK for a number of years as they have continued to expand their operations across the UK and internationally. The latest acquisition is an excellent fit."

Tradebe UK country manager, Mark Olpin, said he anticipated significant growth for the new division following the completion of the deal.

On 1st December 2010 Tradebe acquired Britcare Limited a company that provides Collection and disposal services for clinical waste through a unique processing technology and range of specialist vehicles. This new division for Tradebe will continue to operate from their existing facilities in Birmingham and Doncaster.
