Supporting the Development of Innovative Solutions to Treat Complex Wastes
The process to confirm Tradebe Inutec Winfrith as a Nuclear Site Licensee is well advanced, with completion expected by mid-2018.
Tradebe Inutec based in Dorset is a site of strategic importance, processing the widest range of LLW in the industry.
Tradebe Inutec will use its unique capability under its own nuclear site licence to establish a centre of excellence for treatment of problematic and borderline ILW.
As part of the Site Licensing, Tradebe Inutec will take on additional land, enabling it to develop more flexible customer-led radioactive waste facilities.
The new Nuclear Site Licence will support the development of innovative treatment of complex inventories.
