The ‘Fluidic Nozzle’ System for Floating Roof Tanks
This system has been designed and patented by Willacy Oil Services. It achieves sludge re-suspension while the tank is on-line. The main features are:
- Roof mounted nozzle system to reduce/remove sludge banks
- Nozzles installed through existing roof manways
- Submerged jet system eliminating the need to nitrogen inert the tank
- Focused on problem areas identified by the SPOT
- Combined with proven centrifuge technology to intercept solids, avoiding transfer and double handling
- Flexible system which can be used with or without chemical addition dependant upon the application and customer requirements
Willacy Oil Services have designed and operated a range of shell mounted and roof mounted nozzle systems for deployment in fixed and floating roof tanks for vapour space and submerged jet operation. Many of these systems were initially designed to solve a specific Client problem and with proven success have now been incorporated into our service portfolio.
Online Sludge Removal from Pits & API's
We understand how difficult it can be, due to operational constraints, to remove certain facilities from service for desludging. Pits, API separators, water treatment lagoons are some examples. Willacy Oil Services developed the hydrodredger to facilitate the desludging of such facilities while it continues to provide a service. The hydrodredger is an independently powered suction device which can be remotely manoeuvred at slow speeds to avoid disturbance to an overhead water system while removing bottom sediments and sludge for treatment or disposal.
